Studies in Ethnopolitics
is a book series that publishes cutting-edge research and analysis and establish a forum for serious debate and exchange on one of the phenomena that have significantly shaped the last decade and a half of the 20th century and that will continue to have great bearing on international security and stability in the new century. The series gives a voice to established as well as younger researchers and analysts who introduce innovative ideas and concepts to the field both in theory and methodology as well as the practical aspects of ethnic politics. Attention will also be devoted to the growing importance of international and external influences on ethnopolitical issues, such as international diplomatic or military intervention, as well as to the increasing effects of the forces of globalisation on ethnic identities and their political expressions. The series will publish original work of the highest quality with methodological approaches covering mainly the disciplines of political science, international relations, and sociology. We will maintain a fair balance between theoretical analyses of these matters and case studies both of comparative as well as singular nature, and between monographs and edited collections of essays.

Studies in Ethnopolitics takes a non-exclusive global approach to its subject. Its major focus is on theoretical and practical issues related to the analysis, management, settlement, and prevention of ethnic conflicts, to minority rights, group identity, the intersection of identity group formations and politics, and minority and majority nationalisms in the context of democratisation, and to the security and stability of states and regions as they are affected by any of the above issues.

CALL FOR BOOK PROPOSALS AND MANUSCRIPTS

The general editors invite scholars and practitioners at all career stages to consider Berghahn Studies in Ethnonationalism as a means of getting their work published in a prestigious outlet.

Studies in Ethnopolitics seeks to publish high-quality, innovative, and original manuscripts on all matters pertaining to the analysis, management, settlement, and prevention of ethnic conflicts, to minority rights, group identity, the intersection of identity group formations and politics, and minority and majority nationalisms in the context of democratisation, and to the security and stability of states and regions as they are affected by any of the above issues.

Thus, our main concern is not the status or track-record of a prospective author, his or her methodological persuasion, professional or disciplinary background, or area of topical or geographical expertise. All submissions will be judged solely upon their merit.

In the first instance we simply require a book proposal outlining the structure and content of the proposed volume, any competitor books, and an indication how your book would be different from, or add to, the existing literature in the field. At this stage, it is not necessary to send us any writing samples or entire manuscripts; rather, the proposal can be emailed to us as an attachment (please use IBM-compatible Word or WordPerfect file formats only). If you wish to make an informal, preliminary enquiry before submitting a book proposal, please do not hesitate to email the general editors directly.

Before the manuscript stage, our preferred way of communication is by email, and we would appreciate it if you could approach both general editors simultaneously.

We look forward to hearing from you and promise a swift response to all enquiries and submissions.
